The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area announces the closure of the Chattahoochee River from Holcomb Bridge south to Peachtree Creek due to raw sewage resulting from recent flooding. Several units and their facilities within the park are now closed. These units include Paces Mill, Whitewater, Powers Island, Interstate North, Columns Drive, Johnson Ferry South, Johnson Ferry North, Vickery Creek, and Abbotts Bridge. All park boat launch points are also closed. For safety precautions, no access will be allowed until the land dries out.
