Capulin Volcano may have permanent positions available occasionally.These jobs will be listed on the Office of Personnel Management website as they become available.

Seasonal positions are usually available in the summer months in the maintenance and interpretation divisions. These jobs may be listed on the Office of Personnel Management website usually beginning in February or March each year.

Student interns may be hired through the Student Conservation Association (SCA) or the Geologist in Park program through the Geological Society of America.

Local high school and college students may apply for the Public Land Crew positions by contacting the monument.

Did You Know?
The Public Lands Crew, a summer work program for teens, assisted with erosion and exotic species control projects, dismantled and removed old wayside bases from the rim trail, removed dead trees left from the prescribed burn and removed weeds and cinders from the gutters along the volcano road.
