Park Reopens As Tropical Storm Noel Moves East

As Tropical Storm Noel moves in an easterly direction and away from the south Florida coast, Biscayne National Park plans to reopen the Dante Fascell Visitor Center, the Park Headquarters Building, the grounds at Convoy Point, and the concession operation at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2007.  Park facilities located on Boca Chita, Elliott and Adams Keys will reopen at 12:00 noon on Friday.

When exploring Biscayne National Park's coral reefs, don't forget to slow down and take note of some of the small wonders. Turtles, sharks and shipwrecks are great, but don't miss flamingo tongue snails, Christmas tree worms and mermaid's wineglasses.
