Frijoles Canyon Construction Re-route

The good news is construction has begun on the Cottonwood Picnic area bridge and parking rebuild! The bad news is, this will require some temporary trail re-routes to bypass the construction area. access to the Main Loop trail and Alcove house remains largely unaffected, however the return trail to the VC through the picnic area is closed, and the Falls Trail requires an additional 0.3 miles round trip for access to the trail head. A plank bridge and temporary access train have been added at the west end of the picnic area to access the Falls Trail, and the Frijolito trail.
