LOS ALAMOS, NEW MEXICO: Bandelier National Monument Superintendent Brad Traver announced the reopening of Juniper Campground. “We are reopening Juniper Campground to prepare for the spring break travelers that may come to Bandelier in March and April,” said Traver. “We also encourage area residents to come enjoy the beautiful spring weather and to bring their families hiking or camping.”

“We want to remind everyone that the visitor center will be open daily from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. beginning on March 8th when daylight saving time begins,” said Traver. “With all of the warm spring weather, we are starting to see many visitors to the park,” added Traver. “We want to provide the best services possible to all park visitors.”

The picnic area, the Tsankawi unit near White Rock, and the trails in Frijoles Canyon are open daily from official sunrise to official sunset. Bandelier’s entrance fee is $12 per private car with the receipt being valid for 7 days.
