Not an Isolated Village

The people who lived here were not isolated from the outside world.

Foot trails connected villages across the Pajarito Plateau. The Ancestral Pueblo people walked between villages to trade goods, participate in ceremonial activities, and socialize. Trails were also used to reach areas for hunting, gathering, farming, and other daily activities.
