Community Life

community life

Everyone worked together for the good of the community.

NPS Collection

Daily lives were guided by ceremonial and social traditions. Men made tools, traded, hunted, farmed, and taught young boys these skills. Women made pottery, plastered homes, gathered food and water, ground corn, and instructed the young girls who worked beside them. Everyone worked together for the good of the community.
