Salt River Bay: Generations on the Shore
This stationary, self-guided tour is designed to be enjoyed from the Salt River Bay Visitor Center, where many of the locations discussed can be seen across the landscape. For thousands of years, people came to Salt River Bay seeking opportunity, security, and a better future. Indigenous families built villages here. Explorers, settlers, laborers, merchants, sailors, and soldiers followed, each leaving their mark. Today, the bay stands as a place where thousands of years of human stories come together.
