Trail of the Shadows Walking Tour

The Trail of the Shadows is an easy, 0.7 mile-loop trail that weaves around the Longmire Meadow. Created by volcanic mineral springs, this unique low elevation meadow is home to a rich ecosystem of plants and animals and has a long history of human use. This tour follows a set of exhibit panels located along the trail travelling counterclockwise from the main trailhead, which is located across the street from the National Park Inn in Longmire.
