Timpanogos Cave National Monument Visitor Center and Cave
Due to concerns of spreading the novel coronavirus COVID-19, no visitors are allowed in the caves at this time.
Timpanogos Cave National Monument continues to follow current guidance from the CDC, federal, state, and local health authorities regarding COVID-19. At this time for the safety of visitors and staff, we are not offering cave tours, including self-guided tours. We will continue to monitor the situation to share updates and changes to our operation.
Currently both picnic areas, part of the trail leading up to the caves, and the Canyon Nature Trail are open for use. More information will be added here as it becomes available.
The visitor center and cave tours will open as soon as safely possible following federal, state, & local health guidelines
Park Rangers are available on a limited basis for pass sales. Call first, or ask a ranger on the Plaza.
The trail head for the caves is by the visitor center. They are located in American Fork Canyon on Highway 92 just 10 miles east from Interstate 15 and 17.2 miles from U.S. 189, and approximately 40 miles from Salt Lake City.
To purchase tickets: call recreation.gov at (877) 444-6777 or visit their website.
Your cave tour begins and ends at the visitor center. That means the time you select when you purchase your tickets is the time you pick up your tickets at the visitor center to begin your self-guided mile-and-a-half hike to the cave entrance, where you will meet your ranger.
