When visiting the preserve to participate in the Junior Ranger program! Complete activities and tasks related to the geology, ecology, and history of Valles Caldera and earn a Junior Ranger badge. Ask a ranger at the entrance station or ranger station to get started and participate.

Pets are only allowed on the La Jara Loop, Coyote Call, and Valle Grande Entrance Trails. No pets are allowed in the backcountry of the preserve (even if they remain inside the vehicle).
