Thing to Do
UTEP Student Art Exhibit

The Memorial Gallery showcases the work of talented artists from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) led by Angel Cabrales, focusing on this year’s National Park Week Theme: Greatest Hits. Inspired by iconic moments in national park history, this exhibition highlights how parks—like Chamizal—preserve not just landscapes, but legacies.
Featuring sculptures, ceramics, and neon work, these pieces explore the significance of national parks as places of memory, activism, and transformation. Just as music’s greatest hits define an era, these artistic works celebrate the enduring impact of parks on communities and culture.
Explore art exhibits during National Park Week or through the month of June.
Leashed pets are allowed on park grounds and in the Spanish Garden. Task-trained Service Dogs are allowed inside the Cultural Center and Administrative Building.
