Spend a Day on the Island

1. Visit the museum.
2. American Family Immigration History Center
3. South Side 'Hard Hat' Tour
Ellis Island is only accessible by ferry.
A wheelchair ramp is accessible at the entrance to the building. Elevators provide access to the three floors of exhibits.
All participants on the Hard Hat Tour must be at least 13 years of age, and should expect to be on their feet for 90 minutes.
Come spend the day at historic Ellis Island where the main building houses hours of displays and artifacts to enjoy. Join the save Ellis Island Foundation for a 90-minute tour of the island's unrestored 'South Side.' Research immigrant ancestors through the American Family Immigration History Center.
All items listed below can be done in a half day if you rush, or you could just pick and choose a few items.
