Located at an elevation of 10,343 feet, at Sandbeach Lake enjoy scenic views of the lake with Mount Meeker towering above to the north. Copeland Mountain can also be seen in the distance.
Sandbeach Lake is located in the Wild Basin region of Rocky Mountain National Park. Park at the Sandbeach Lake parking area, located near RMNP's Wild Basin Entrance Station.
Climb up in elevation thorugh a montane pine forest. 1.3 miles from the trailhead is the Meeker Park Junction. Sandbeach Lake is 4.3 miles one-way from the trailhead. This is an in and out hike. The round-trip distance is 8.7 miles.

Start at Sandbeach Lake Trailhead, located near the Wild Basin Entrance Station, and follow the trail 4.3 miles to Sandbeach Lake.

Depending on what time of day you would like to hike, you might need a Timed Entry reservation. Reservations are requied to access most areas of Rocky Mountain National Park between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
