One can certainly ride a bicycle between Leonardtown and Colton's Point, especially via backroads. However, with a new state park between the two points and an outfitter in the area, one might also consider an overnight paddling trip. Weather, wind and tides, as well as your experience, are factors in a decision to attempt this trip. Make sure you check with locals, file a float plan and use a boat and gear appropriate for open water. While in the area, you shoud also consider a half-day paddling trip on MacIntosh Run, an intimate experience through thick forest opening onto Breton Bay.
Depending on wind, weather, tides and your experience, ability and equipment.
Entrance fees may apply, see Fees & Passes information.
