Hike Spectacle Island's Drumlins

Explore five miles of walking trails with stunning views on Spectacle Island!
Hike up to the summit of the North Drumlin, the highest elevation in the Boston Harbor, or hike the South Drumlin to escape the crowds. Both drumlins provide beautiful views of the city and surrounding harbor.
Not interested in a hiking up hills? The 1.5mile perimeter trail has no elevation gain, meets ADA guidelines for accessibility, and offers new views at every turn.

Spectacle Island is accessible via public ferry. To purchase ferry tickets, please visit the Ferry Information page on the Boston Harbor Islands partnership website.
Service animals are allowed on island.
All trails on island are wide with low gradation and crushed-gravel substrate. Additionally, there is an accessible 1.5-mile perimeter trail that meets ADA guidelines.
Please note that there is limited shade/tree coverage on island.
