Thing to Do
Get oriented at the Visitor Center

NPS Image
Start your visit to the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site at the Visitor Center. Here you will be greeted by a Ranger or Volunteer who will give you orientation to the many places and things to do at the site. We are spread out all over town - but that was Andrew Johnson's fault - he kept moving!
At the Visitor Center you can find the orientation film, museum, tailor shop, sales area - and restroom! This is also where you get tour tickets to the historic Homestead. The National Cemetery is about a mile away, and the attendant at the desk will provide a map to each place.
