The Brownsville Historic Battlefield Trail provides users a healthy way to explore Brownsville, TX and some of its historic sites and attractions. It allows visitors to enjoy the nature and scenery that makes Brownsville a unique place and escape the daily grind of the modern world.
The trail stretches for almost 10 miles from the Mitte Cultural District on the south end to Palo Alto Battlefield NHP on the north end. The trail also connects to the Resaca de la Palma Battlefield unit.
The Brownsville Historic Battlefield Trail is open year-round. Battlefield sites and some parking areas along the trail have various hours of operation. Please check closing times for these sites before leaving your vehicle and setting out on the trail.
