Thing to Do
Birding at Fort Dupont

Gary Hartley
Enjoy the tranquility of birding in a dense forest right in the middle of of an urban area only a few miles from the Nation's Capitol. Birders have reported 157 species of birds at Fort Dupont over the last year. Fort Dupont is great for experienced and novice birders alike. Birding is easier with binoculars and a bird identification book, but they are not required.
