Thing to Do
Become a Jr. Ranger

NPS/ Roll
The NPS Junior Ranger program is an activity based program conducted in almost all parks, and some Junior Ranger programs are national. Cumberland Island has activity booklets for ages 5-7 and 8-12. Not in this age range? No worry, people of all ages can participate. This program is a great way to learn about Cumberland Island and to share your ranger story with friends and family.
Pick up your booklet and badge from the mainland visitor center or Sea Camp ranger station on the island. Complete the activities as you explore the island. Have fun with it. Find a park ranger to review your completed activity book. The ranger will swear you in as an official Junior Ranger of Cumberland Island and issue the Junior Ranger badge.
Take in unique scenery. Explore new interests. Experience real places you may have only heard about. But most of all, have fun and create memories that last a lifetime. Become a Junior Ranger today!
Sea Camp Ranger Station is located on Cumberland Island. Stairs and an accessible ramp lead to a porch area and inside.
