Aztec West Great House Loop

A half mile long loop following a mostly paved trail through the ancestral Pueblo Great House that was the social, economic, and political center of the region after Chaco. Watch your head while moving through low doorways and use caution in areas with steps. The interpretive trail guide combines modern archeological findings with traditional Native American perspectives.

Much of the trail is paved. Steep steps lead into the Great Kiva. One section of the trail leads through rooms with low doorways and dirt floors.
