Essential Question
How can students use their interest and knowledge of social media to enhance their knowledge of the battles of the Southern Campaign, in particular Kings Mountain Cowpens?
Objective
Students will create their own memes using their knowledge of social media and the battles of Kings Mountain and Cowpens.
Preparation
Teacher will model a few previously create memes to the students.
Materials
Lesson Hook/Preview
Teacher will show several popular memes to students and allow students to share their favorite.
Procedure
Students will take prior knowledge and create memes to share with the class. Students will create 6 apiece. Memes may be created by .pptx or artistically created on paper.
The 6 must hit something from each listed below:

Battle of Cowpens
Represent the Overmountain men
Represent the character or leadership of Daniel Morgan
