Learning Objective: Students will be able to increase their physical activity by participating in a hike and demonstrating best practices for safely engaging in outdoor recreational activities.
Program Description: Experience a National Park by going on a hike led by a park ranger! Students will engage in a lifelong physical activity that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle. Learn about history, take in scenic views, and connect with nature along the way. Hikes vary in length and difficulty depending on the grade level of the students.
This is a 1-hour long program with a maximum class size of 35 students. Larger class sizes can be split into groups.
