"Read with a Ranger - Where Are You From" is a 45 minute program on-site at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice, Louisiana. Students will listen to a park ranger read the book Where Are You From?. They'll learn about heritage and ancestry, as well as different cultural groups in Louisiana. They'll make personal connections to the story and their own life experiences.
Through this education program, students will discuss culture and heritage. They'll learn how our heritage and lived experiences affect us. Students will learn learn how places, events, and family relate to the idea of home.
Where do we come from? Is it a town? A family? A story of ancestors coming to a new place? Students will enjoy a story and activity led by a park ranger all about this.
