Park rangers lead a class on a virtual field trip through the Alaska Public Lands Information Center. We bring the Alaska Public Lands Information Center to your classroom!
The Alaska Public Lands Information Center, hosts exhibits representing natural, historical, and cultural features throughout the state. Wandering among the exhibits, visitors get a mini tour of Alaska. One can also learn about recreating on public lands in the state as well as materials for educators to bring back to their classrooms.
Park rangers are ready to bring the visitor center directly to YOU. If your school has video conferencing equipment, then your class has the opportunity to experience LIVE interactive visits with a park ranger. During the program, students will be interacting with the ranger, answering and asking questions!
Our programs are appropriate for grades K-12. The programs are free and a great way to introduce your students to this amazing visitor center and to the vast state of Alaska.See a complete list of teacher resources.
