Transportation projects in the National Park Service (NPS) are implemented via a Program of Projects.
The Program of Projects is a multi-year plan for road, bridge, and alternative transportation projects in the NPS. It shows the anticipated schedule for obligating Federal Lands Transportation Program funds to NPS projects over a four year timeframe. Many of these projects, if regionally significant, are included in a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that the Federal Highway Administration approves and submits to the states to be included in their State Transportation Improvement Plans (STIP).
