The Groundwork USA Network - "Changing Places/Changing Lives"
Groundwork USA, a national network of 20 community based non-profits, brings together a broad-base of local constuencies to design, develop, and lead projects that revitalize underserved communities and local economies, repair environmental damage, improve access to parks and greenways, and secure opportunities for youth participation and employment. Since 2000, by leveraging Federal investment by 11:1; 2.8 million people have benefitted from Groundworks projects, 1,859 conservation-oriented jobs were created, 1,841 open spaces improved, 450 acres of brownfields restored, and 2,496 new partnerships established.
