Requests for Expressions of Interest

Requests for Expressions of Interest or RFEIs are an opportunity for interested parties to submit their concept(s) for the potential future use of the property and facilities. The NPS may choose all or part of the content of one or more responses to the RFEI for further consideration and possible development into a public solicitation that the NPS may then advertise to the public.

Any use of NPS property under a lease must:

• not result in degradation of the purposes and values of the park area;
• not deprive the park area of property necessary for appropriate park protection, interpretation, visitor enjoyment, or administration of the park area;
• be used for activity and in a manner that are consistent with the purposes established by law for the park area in which the property is located;
• be compatible with the programs of the National Park Service; and
• adequately insure the preservation any historic property.
