"A structure fire is any fire that is not a wildland fire"
The National Park Service is the nation's steward for thousands of structures, many of them historic such as Independence Hall, many national icons such as the Statue of Liberty. These structures include hotels, cabins, visitor centers, archives, museums, offices and buildings used by concessions. These structures comprise the largest system of museums in the world holding more than 100 million objects, artifacts, and archives.
