As the largest landbirds in North America, California condors draw attention as they soar overhead. Condors can catch updrafts that carry them for hundreds of miles in a single day. They are extremely curious and maintain complex social hierarchies, and are very long-lived. California condors are also one of the most endangered avian species in the world.
