Blind / Low Vision

The parking lot at the site is paved and an active parking lot for the national monument and the hospital nearby. Please be alert for moving vehicles as you explore the site. There is a drop-off that separates the parking lot from a grass section by the site marker. The grass section is uneven and can be muddy. The drop-off is a ledge that is a several inches height difference from the parking lot down to the grass. There is a mulch ramp located in front of the site marker to get from the parking lot to the grass section. The ramp is uneven and not paved. There are several metal fence poles spaces across the drop-off ledge on the pavement. Use caution when navigating around the poles.

Currently, all interpretive materials are printed text brochures and informational booklets. There are not braille or audio versions available at this time. The site marker is flat, printed text.
