Parking at the national monument consists of a flat, paved lot. There are no accessibility-reserved parking spaces, but some spots are located near the site marker.

Other than the parking lot, there is a stretch of grass in front of the fence that separates the site from the train tracks. This mown, grass section can be uneven and muddy in places. Some spots in the grass, especially those closer to the roadway, have uneven bits of pavement sticking up through the grass. There is also a drop-off where the parking lot transitions to the grass. The drop-off is a ledge that is several inches height difference from the parking lot down to the grass section. There is a mulch ramp located in front of the site marker to get from the parking lot to the grass. The ramp is uneven and not paved. There is no shade available at the site.

The visitor center is located at Lincoln Home National Historic Site. The parking lot is located south of the visitor center. There are three accessibility-reserved parking spaces at the north end of the parking lot, closest to the building. There is a paved route from the parking lot to the visitor center with a slight uphill incline. A ramp is located to the left of the stairway and brown welcome sign to allow for travel from the parking lot to the visitor center.

There are two entrances to the building, one on the south side (parking lot side) and north side of the building. Both operate on a push-button door opener. Inside, the restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Benches are located inside the visitor center and picnic tables are available outside the south (parking lot) entrance.

On the left, a paved ramp leads up to a walkway. In the center, there is a brown "Welcome to Lincoln Home National Historic Site" sign and a small brown kiosk. On the right, there is a paved set of stairs.
