Learn about how you can help support Springfield Armory. Find volunteer opportunities and more.

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities with the National Park Service, please take some time to explore the NPS Volunteer Page. While there, you can find information about volunteering that applies to any national park, including Springfield Armory National Historic Site. To learn about volunteering opportunities at Springfield Armory NHS, please contact the park ay 413-732-8551.

Special Note: Due to special security requirements at Springfield Armory National Historic Site, most applicants for volunteer positions are required to submit to and successfully complete a federal background investigation before commencing as a volunteer. This investigation takes approximately one month to complete after all the necessary documentation is sent in. The background check is paid for by the National Park Service and requires submission of documents and finger prints that can be done on site or at your closest Police station. If you have any questions about this matter, please contact the park volunteer coordinator at 413-732-8551 for more information.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Springfield Armory National Historic Site!
