We had a nice mix of internal and external work this week as we continue to see things come together in anticipation of a handover next month. Mechanical and electrical installation continues in the services room. We saw the installation of the fire control panel and the electrical panel, as well as the water heater. Preparations at the walking path between the upper site and the entrance road are complete and ready for surface installation while curbs and flatwork pours are nearing completion. The upper parking lot is also now ready for a surface as grading and compaction are complete. Of note on the inside hanging light fixtures are being installed in the main display area. Meanwhile, final preparations have been made at the new entrance road as we are nearly ready for a final surface in most areas around the site.
It’s important to note that all crew members are employing all those health and safety measure that we are all practicing, including social distancing. Work crew members are being monitored regularly, and sanitation facilities are available for the crew. While the project is certainly important, the health and safety of employees and workers is much more important.

(A) In photo (A) above we can see a collage of the services controls and mechanical services installation. These include the water heater, fire control panel, and the electrical services panel.
(B) Below we see the pedestrian path connecting the upper parking area to the entrance road. This path is intended to bring visitors from the large vehicle parking area into the main site.

(C) Photo (C) shows us form layout for curs and concrete flatwork waiting for fresh concrete. In this photo we are looking northeast toward the new picnic area which can be seen in the upper left-hand corner of the photo.

(D) In photo (D) we see workers leveling and compacting the surface of the upper parking area as it awaits pavement.

(E) This is a great photo showing the newly installed hanging light fixtures in the main display area. Beautiful!
