Update: Site Observation Update Week May5th
Work proceeds on schedule. As the ground has dried enough to accommodate, work is proceeding on the rerouted entry road from Cattle Point Drive. Additionally, rough in electrical and plumbing continues, inside and out, while HVAC installation of duct work has begun.
A couple of notes on progress will be of interest. As of May 5th, the project is 43% complete at day 183 of an anticipated 334 day work plan. The project is scheduled to complete on or about October 18th, reflecting only a slight modification to the original planned date of September 25th.
It’s important to note that all crew members are employing all those health and safety measure that we are all practicing, including social distancing. Work crew members are being monitored regularly, and sanitation facilities are available for the crew. While the project is certainly important, the health and safety of employees and workers is much more important.
Photo (A) below shows the trellis connectors being secured to the building and support posts. The trellis offers shad from late day sun from the southern exposure, but will also support exhibit panels when complete.
Photo (B) below takes us to the old portion of the entry road where work has begun again to remove trees, providing access for the rerouted entry road from Cattle Point Rd.
In photo (C) below we see the fan coil and energy recovery ventinator set in place and awaiting duct work installation throughout the building.
And right on schedule, photo (D) above shows duct work installation beginning to carry air throughout the structure.
(E) Finally, in case you were wondering, we do have a maintenance supervisor on site overseeing the project from on high.
