Update: Site Observation Update Week July 13th

This week sheetrock work installation is continuing, while the already dried sheetrock is being sanded, finished and readied for paint. Additionally, a Solar Tube skylight systems was installed on the roof over restrooms to bring in natural light to complement electric lighting. The septic system control panel was installed for the aerobic treatment system (ATS); a mini water treatment plant, if you will, that works in combination with a leach field to clean wastewater exiting the structure. Electricians are continuing to wire fixtures throughout the facility. Outside, finishing work continued on the entry trellis, and the cedar channel siding and board and batten work progresses. All in all, another great week of progress.

It’s important to note that all crew members are employing all those health and safety measure that we are all practicing, including social distancing. Work crew members are being monitored regularly, and sanitation facilities are available for the crew. While the project is certainly important, the health and safety of employees and workers is much more important.

continues in anticipation of horizontal siding.

(B) One added feature of the structure is solar tube sky lighting for the restrooms.
Here we see the tubes from the roof.

electric lighting.

(D) In photo D below we see progress on the  drywall installation with seams sealed.
Now we have to wait for the mud to dry before we can sand and finish the installation.

(E) The septic in your home is a likely a relatively simple anaerobic gravity drain septic. Here we see the control panel for the building’s anaerobic septic system. An aerobic treatment system or ATS is a small scale sewage treatment system similar
to a septic tank system, but which uses an aerobic process for waste digestion rather than just the anaerobic process used in home septic systems.
The difference between aerobic and anaerobic? The presence of (aerobic) or absence of (anaerobic) oxygen in the system.

(F) Finally this week, another system fundamental the building’s operation is heating
and cooling. Here we see the installation of a heat pump to serve both functions and
thus maintaining steady state environmental comfort for the entire facility, year-round.
