With the arrival of lumber to the site, the building’s wall framing has commenced. In order to prepare for the framing, mudsills were installed on the foundation walls first, so the wall frames have material to anchor to. While the walls of the building are being erected, several other projects around the job site are underway. Survey work provided elevation data for the lower parking lot rockery wall and the pedestrian pathway between the interpretive plaza and visitor center which helped for grading, excavation, and gravel subbase compaction activities. Rockery wall construction started with existing boulders and the flatwork formwork started along the outer perimeter of the interpretive center.

Wood boards are installed on the top of the foundation exterior walls and on the slab floor for the interior walls
