Work on the construction of the visitor center started the week of Oct 28th, 2019. The initiation of the first activities included removing park operations materials from the old facility, erecting barricades, and safety netting to non-construction vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Once the site was secured, removal of the parking concrete stops and building windows started. In addition, consultation with park staff to identify sensitive vegetation areas and trees for removal was completed.
