Concord, MA.  Minute Man National Historical Park will be joined by the Brookline Bird Club for a series of spring birdwalks to celebrate the diversity of birdlife  at the park during 2018, the Year of the Bird. All walks are free and meet along the historic Battle Road Trail and battlefield.  Walks are presented by Volunteer In Park, Kathy Dia.  Kathy is a seasonal employee of Mass Audubon for whom she leads public and school programs, and a volunteer Vermont Center for Ecostudies for whom she is a breeding bird monitor in Minute Man NHP.

2018 marks the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the most powerful and important bird-protection law ever passed. In honor of this milestone, nature lovers around the world are joining forces to celebrate the “Year of the Bird” and commit to protecting birds today and for the next hundred years. These walks are co-sponsored by the Brookline Bird Club, one of the nation’s oldest and most active bird watching clubs.
