In 2018, we are putting our best foot forward to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act. Join us at Chickasaw National Recreation Area on Saturday, June 2, 2018, to observe National Trails Day. Start your day with a ranger-led hike at 10:00a.m. on the Bison Pasture Trail (1.9miles, moderate) which circles the fenced bison paddock. Catch glimpses of the park bison herd while exploring a small part of the 20 miles of park trails.
Hikers should plan to meet at the parking area across from Lincoln Bridge and bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and wear appropriate hiking clothes and shoes.
