The National Park Service's Germantown White House will be open as part of the Revolutionary Germantown Festival. This is a special opportunity to tour this historic residence. Used as headquarters by Lt. General William Howe after the Battle of Germantown on October 4, 1777, the house was later used by President George Washington as a refuge from the Yellow Fever Epidemic in 1793, and as a summer retreat for himself and his family the following year.
