On NPS Junior Ranger Day, join Ranger Zach for this fun, hands-on (and feet-on!) activity for both kids and parents. Learn about the words home and shelter, and what these mean for animals and humans. Kids can get dirty (and parents too!) by mixing mud and straw with their hands and feet to build adobe bricks. They'll have creative time for building adobe creations and will be able to take home an adobe work of their own. By participating in this program kids get their Coronado National Memorial Junior Ranger badge!
Meet at the Coronado National Memorial Picnic Area at 11am on Saturday, April 21. Wear clothes that can get muddy and bring water and sun protection. Families can consider bringing a picnic lunch for after the program.
