  • Everyday from 05/08/2018 to 09/22/2018 Location: Get free tickets at the Visitor Center at 2nd and Broadway, Time: 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM Fee Information: Free

Men of the 24th Infantry - an all African American unit - maintained law and order in frontier Skagway. They sparked controversy when they joined Alaska's first Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.). Explore the Buffalo Soldiers' contributions to Skagway.

This is a 45 minute ranger-led tour that covers four blocks of Skagway's Historic District.  Tours are mostly outdoors so come dressed to be outside in wind, rain, or sun.

Tours are limited to 30 participants per tour so make sure to pick up a free ticket to reserve your spot.  Tickets are given out on the day of the walk only and on a first-come, first-served basis.  Select tours can be reserved in advance.

Tours are wheelchair and stroller accessible and service animals are welcome.
