September Stones River Service Day - Invasive Plant Removal

  • 09/15/2018 Location: McFadden Farm, Time: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Stones River Service Days are monthly opportunities to get involved at the battlefield. Each month will feature a different project followed by an optional guided program.

On September 15th, we will be removing invasive plants at McFadden Farm. Bring a picnic lunch and join us afterward for squad boss training in preparation for National Public Lands Day!

To participate, please sign up by calling (615)-893-9501 or emailing us at claire_casey@partner.nps.gov with your name, phone number, email, and how many volunteers you will have with you. This event is limited to individuals who are at least 14 years old. Minors will need a volunteer form with a parent signature to participate.

Volunteers should be prepared to work outside. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves, and are advised to bring a water bottle and gloves if you have them.
