Christmas Downriver will take place on Saturday, December 9, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Magnolia Plantation. Children can make homemade ornaments similar to those made by children of Christmas’s past. There will be historic games, story time and singing of holiday songs and carols. Join a ranger for a tour of the grounds at 2:30 p.m.
There is no entrance fee at Magnolia Plantation. All tours and activities are free. Magnolia Plantation is located at 5549 Highway 119, Cloutierville La 71416. To reach Magnolia Plantation, take I-49 to Exit 119, Derry. Head east on LA Highway 119. Cross over LA Highway 1 and proceed for two miles. The grounds of Magnolia Plantation are on the right.
