Bus tour is at 11:30 a.m. Mon - Fri during May and at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the weekends. Rangers provide the interpretive program, while driving the bus. Bus tour is through the bison pasture, so there is the possibility of seeing the herd.
Buses are air-conditioned, have a wheelchair lift, and large windows for viewing the tallgrass prairie. Bring water and plan for a 60 to 90-minute bus ride with no restroom facilities in the prairie.
Reservations are not required, but helpful. Please check in at the visitor center when you arrive, as tour spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of two passengers are required per bus. Lack of available staff and inclement weather may cause tours to cancel. Please call ahead to confirm tours. Call 620-273-8494 (hit 0) to make your reservation today.
