  Over a billion years of fire and ice have shaped the geology of the Keweenaw.  This geology resulted in bountiful copper deposits that the area became famous for in the 19th century.  With their No. 2 shaft-rock house still sitting atop Quincy Hill, the Quincy Mining Company became an industry leader.  Join a ranger on a surface ruins tour of the site to learn about the in's and out's of the Quincy Mining Company.
