  Many of the Confederates who volunteered at Fort Donelson in 1862 had never been very far away from home.  Soldiers often spent time drilling and building the fort, but they also had lots of time in camp.  Come visit with the park ranger and learn how soldiers spent their days at Fort Donelson.
  
  Firing demonstrations of period weapons will be offered throughout the day. Campsite will be open from 10 am - 2 pm.
