    Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service at the Norfolk Tides baseball game on August 25, 2016!  Bring in the second century of the NPS with the sights and sounds of America's Pastime. 

    The Norfolk Tides play the Rochester Red Wings

    Opening Ceremonies begin at 11:30 am

    • Historical Timeline Color Guard representing garrison of Fort Monroe from the beginning in 1824 through the deactivation of the post in 2011.
    • American Civil War period arrangement of the "Star Spangled Banner" performed by bugler from the 99th NY Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Co. D
    • Ceremonial First Pitch - game starts at 12:05 pm
    Visit us at the NPS Booth on the Concourse to get park information, Junior Ranger Stickers, a One-Day-Only/3 parks on 1 NPS Passport Centennial Stamp for Fort Monroe NM, Captain John Smith Chesapeake NHT, and Colonial NHP, and more at the game!
