Hand wrought furniture hardware is usually found on the most expensive and finely made furniture. Techniques like lost wax casting, sand casting, forging and lathe turning are generally used to produce these accoutrements. This two-day workshop will introduce you to Fast Fire Bronze and how to make your own "designer hardware”. We will cover working with and firing bronze clay along with making high and low-tech molds out of materials like cardboard, plaster of Paris, Plexiglas, plasticine clay and RTV rubber. Bring a notebook and camera as we will cover an amazing amount of information in just two days!
